Weeb McGee (born John Lim) is a Korean-American computer programmer and Crypto Twitter personality based in New York City. He is best known as the creator of yieldfarming.info, a Website that calculates the yield of DeFi protocols. ^{[4] [1] [2]}

McGee entered the DeFi market in June 2020, after Compound began rewarding customers with free governance tokens that allowed them vote on network changes or sell at a profit. ^[1]

The move by Compound introduced a new concept in the Blockchain industry called 'yield farming'. Like crop fields, Yield farming refers to those who stake their resources in pools to maximize yields. ^[1]

On the homepage of McGee's site, users are presented with a farmer meme and the quote “It ain't much, but it's honest work,” the slogan of the site.

McGee was recognized by Decrypt as being one of the first people to calculate the yields of different DeFi lending protocols. ^[1]

On June 20, 2020, Lim publicly launched yieldfarming.info.

He began listing 'yield farming' tokens and saw it rise in popularity among the cryptocurrency. The site runs no ads and receives 100,000 to 200,000 page views a day.
