Waylon Lewis is an American entrepreneur, writer, activist, and internet personality who started (and still writes) for the health and wellness magazine, Elephant Journal, which was originally called Elephant Magazine in 2002. He also runs a podcast called the Walk the Talk Show through Elephant Journal. [1]
Career
In 2002, Waylon Lewis started Elephant Magazine, the original version of Elephant Journal, which was distributed at Whole Foods Market during it's early days. It started as a print Magazine and has slowly evolved into a website. The site currently does not run ads in order to maintain editorial integrity, and operates based on a membership system with subscribers for the full content experience.
Lewis still writes at Elephant Journal, mainly about politics and current events. he also recently authored his first book, Things I would like to do with you, which is available in the Elephant Journal shop.
He has also received many rewards and recognitions including Treehugger’s Reader’s Choice Best of Green Culture & Celebrity Ambassador of Environmental Culture for 2010.
He also won Twitter's National Shorty for "Green" in 2010 and 2011. Finally, he won 100 Most Influential People in Health & Fitness 2011 by "Greatist". [1]
