Víctor Porfirio Baloa Díaz^[1]** (**Born in September 19,1970) better known as Porfi Baloa, is a Venezuelan musician, composer, producer and arranger. Creator and director of the group Los Adolescentes Orchestra.

His work within the orchestra as a pianist, arranger and conductor has been intense, but his compositions have been the basis of his success.

He has been nominated 11 times for New York City's star award, the ACE, having won 7 of them.

Apart from those obtained in different places in America and Europe.

Around 39 songs of his authorship have been placed in the first place of the Record Report, being a unique case for a Venezuelan composer and musical group (Los Adolescentes).

Songs like "Anhelos", "Persona Ideal", "Búscame", "Se Acabo el Amor", "Ponte Pila", "Mentirosa", are some of the most popular singles of his career.

At the age of 8 years he was already playing the bass with unmatched skill and dexterity, knowing at that young age his talent as a composer.

He started in music at a very young age, having been a pianist for groups such as Las Vibraciones and Dimensión Latina.

He was the creator of the youth orchestra Salserin and was also its owner and musical producer.

Some time later, he decided to create an orchestra with a different concept, creating Los Adolescent's Orchestra, better known as "Los Adolescentes Orquestra", achieving that all the songs of his four musical productions were placed in the first places of the national and international billboards

Adolescents Orchestra, a group made up of young Venezuelans between the ages of 19 and 23, was consolidated in 1995 thanks to the support of Luis Francisco "El Negro" Mendoza and the Korta Records label.

The band's innovative style of performing salsa music soon gained hundreds of followers who made the release a national and international success in just a few weeks.

The passion for music and the creative magic in the lyrics led Porfi Baloa to compose an infinite number of musical hits, which together with his Adolescentes he has managed to show and take to the 4 continents.

Porfi Baloa is the winner of approximately 87 awards, 4 nominations to the Billboard Awards and 3 nominations to the Premio lo Nuestro, he has a record of 60 first places in the Venezuelan Hit parade.

The great mastery in his arrangements and compositions, coupled with the execution of the piano, bass, congas, bongo, timpani and trombone have made him a versatile musician and composer in his genre.

With his group's productions such as: "Reclamando Nuestro Espacio", "Persona Ideal", "La misma Pluma", "Ahora mas que nunca", "Búscame", "Sellos de mi ADN", including his other groups such as "Chiky Salsa" and "El Klan de Porfi", he got into the heart of the public.

Songs such as Persona ideal,me tengo que ir, Virgen, Me negó, Aquel lugar, Anhelo, among others, have had great commercial success nationally and internationally.

After 20 years of artistic career returns in 2016 with a new single, Bésame, which was 17 weeks on the billboard, ascends to the seat of honor to become the 61st hit that Porfi Baloa gets as First Place in the Record Report.
