VFXJOSH (born October 7) is an American Film director,[17] actor, producer, and visual effects specialist. His production company Timeadayfilms Production, has produced more than 4 films since 2012. Partnered with Amazon, VFXJOSH's most well-known works are "Marvel Strike Force," "Warner Bros. Resurrect," and "Disney Duck Tales."

VFXJOSH who's real name is Joshua Holly***,*** grew up in South Central Los Angeles, Califorina. [17] He's been making short films since a young age (9). He started with Animation using Paint on a 98' Microsoft Desktop. VFX soon advanced to Animation Filmmaking by using a technique called Stop motion by positioning his toys from his toy box in a complex scene which he then edited on Windows Movie Maker, Stitching the images together to be exported as a QuickTime File Format to be viewed by his Mom (Erika Lovett Holly) and Sister* (Jazymyne Holly)*. He did many of these until he acquired the skill to shoot Live action stories. VFX attended West Adams Preparatory High School in South Los Angeles, were he was given his first DSLR Camera Canon EOS 550D[10] by his Mother Erika Lovett Holly. He used the Canon EOS 550 to create many Short Films[7] with his friends around campus, and with the praise from his local peers he began to take filmmaking serious.

VFXJOSH began his career after an internship at Inner-City Filmmakers[11] in Santa Monica, California. Soon after that he went to college at California State University, Northridge [12] majored in CTVA (Cinema, Television, and Arts) where he learned the history of film and cameras. He used his Student financial aid and Scholarship Grant (money) that he was granted to purchase the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4 [13] and DJI Ronin to advance his career, but leading him to have to be homeless for the remaining of the semester. Forcing him to sleep in his friend's car and having to shower and brush his teeth at the school's gym * (The Rec Center)*. VFX reached a peak at the University where he flet like wasn't learning anything new and everything that he was being taught was recited from his early teaching from the internet. He continued increasing his knowledge by watching VFX tutorials from youtube Guru's[14][15] like Andrew Kramer and Ryan Connolly. After 3 years of attending the University he dropped out to pursue his Directing/VFX career. For many years his family resented him, thus forcing him to be self motivated and self determine to achieve his goals.

Joshua chose his name "VFXJOSH"[18] due to his skills in Post-production and Visual Effects. Josh became really inspired by Director Michael Bay[22] as he tried to follow in his footsteps by making action-packed epic films. He began to post all of his work on Youtube and Instagram then shortly he was introduced to the Hip-Hop, RAP, Culture of Music Videos[23], where he did numerous jobs for artist such as, Lil Snupe[24], Boosie Bad Azz Meek Mill[25], Nicki Minaj[26] and Bleu DaVinci[27] Which did received over 14 Million Views on all platforms. Thanks to a good time friend from Inner-City Filmmakers, VFX was hired to work as Visual Effects Artist for a Warner Bros.[28] Film Entitled "Resurrect"[20]. After his success with the Studio he was contacted by two content creators from Youtube Space LA[29] that goes by the name of Strength Project. This where he finally got to use the top of the line production equipment used in most major productions across the world. VFX went on to be asked to do Visual Effects in a show produced by the Studio entitled "Disney Duck Tales" [30] where he gained a huge reputation from the industry professionals, giving him a buzz on social media, but it didn’t stop there. VFX used his social media presence along with help from his mentors from ICF to land a job at Technicolor, The Mill. This was by far the best fit for Josh as the company specialized in Visual Effects in the Commercial and Movie Indrustry. Throughout his training at The Mill he was granted access to industry professional programs for 3D Animation and Post Production Visual Effects[31] such as Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Cinema 4D, and SideFX Honodini. His co-workers showed him many of great techniques behind what goes into the magic of VFX and what to expect in the down pipeline of his career. He worked very closely with the creators of Transformers Sequel, & Spider-Man Movies 1-3, also many more. After gaining good rapport in the company, Josh was then asked to be a stand in Mo-Cap * (Motion Capture)* Actor to get references for some test for the clients at Disney's Marvel. Which he did so superior that when the real actors hired to fill these roles wrapped on set, Marvel rejected the material, forcing the company to hire Josh as the official Mo-Cap Actor for performances for multiple MCU characters like Captain America, Drax the Destroyer, Ultimate Elektra, and Main CharacterThe Pilot. Becoming the first of African-American actors to play the role of Captain America[3]. The Commercial aired on Nation Television across the world and uploaded on Youtube for total of 81 Million Views [9], breaking the internet. Josh was contacted by friends and family after the viral sensation as they was astonished to as of how a college dropout that was once homeless got a chance to be apart of Disney's Marvel. Josh was instantly praised by VFX Leads in the department of Technicolor and went on to work on the iPhone X Commercial[8] by Apple Inc., also Produced by The Mill.

Josh Begin producing his first Feature Film[4] (2018) "ON: A Virtual Experience" [5] which lead him to his distribution deal with Amazon,[32] which according to the Amazon Video in the contract signed by both parties, where Josh can publish unlimited amount of titles on their platform, which can be accessed through all Smart TV's[34]. This could be the biggest launch of Josh's Career.

With Josh's Amazon Deal he has published a TV-Series entitled "The Beach Show" [32] which is an episodic series in the works of the first Season to give confidence in men by asking random questions to attractive woman, on the topic of relationships and hookups. Josh also have an upcoming show entitled "Behind The Lens" which showcase the skills and teachings of Visual Effects and what goes into the production of some major movie sets. While this is still in production in Hawaii, Josh is also producing his new Sci-Fi, Feature Film "Hollyman" with a synopsis that not yet released to the public but Josh ensure that this production will be his best work and his debut Superhero film as he mentioned in a recent tweet[33]:

I've been waiting to make this film for 4 years now but it wasn't until now that I have the acquired the knowledge and the platform to release it to properly.

I revised the script and characters multiple times as this is my baby and I wanted it to be perfect.

Most High has given me this gift to tell a story for my people in ways that uplifts us and inspire us to become more, expanding our time here on Earth in this temporary Life.
