Early Life & Education
Vertel grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. [1] She was introduced to music early, as she started playing the piano without any professional training at the age of 5. [undefined] She started writing songs when she was 12 old and she got her first Fruity Loops when she was 15 to produce her own music. [undefined]
After taking a break from producing, she received professional sound engineering training at the Los Angeles Recording School. [undefined]

Vertel moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. However, she eventually transitioned to the music industry. [undefined]
In September 2011, she signed her first music label: Indie-Pop. [undefined] She ended up leaving the independent label 6 months after signing with them, as she felt she needed to progress faster as an artist. She ended up creating her own project, releasing an EP entitled Black and Blue; she produced half the EP and notes that it helped her learn what she wanted for herself as an artist. [undefined]
Later in her career, she signed with Pulse Recording and has since worked alongside artists such as JoJo, Brian Kennedy, theUnderdogs, and Firebeatz. [1] [undefined]
