How Vezt works
Vezt is a decentralized application built on the Ethereum network that allows users to share ownership in artists' songs through their intellectual property rights marketplace or Initial Song Offering. [14] [3] [11] Artists and rights holders have control over their new or existing intellectual properties and can easily capitalize on their work by choosing portions of their songs to offer for sale to fans, friends, and anyone interested in owning rights and collecting music royalties. [14] [10]
Background
The ISO includes a particular date and time when song rights will be available to the public.
Just as a ticket on sale for a popular artist may sell out in minutes, an ISO creates a focal point for awareness, demand and opportunity.
In March 2018, Vezt released early sign up registration through email for the mobile application.
History
Vezt was founded in early 2017 by Steve Stewart and Robert Menendez.
The company received pre-seed funding from venture capital firms and individual rights-buyers, including Binary Capital and Global Trust Group. [14]
