Veronica Vain (Paige Jennings)
Early Life
Jennings was born in Savannah, Georgia and grew up in Florida. [21] [31] In high school, she worked at Subway and GameStop. [22] She graduated with a high GPA and significantly above average SAT scores [9] Although it was enough for her to get into a Top 20 ranked University, Jennings decided to attend the University of Florida on a full scholarship. [9]
Education and Early Activities
Posing outsides
While attending school, she maintained a 3.7 GPA, but still struggled to pay for textbooks and bills.
Looking for opportunities, she found different advertisements online offering jobs for escort services, porn, and Sugar daddies. [9] She decided to go with the latter arrangement and had a number of sugar daddies take her on dates and pay for her expenses. [9] Feeling the desire to want a "normal college experience." [9] Jennings halted seeing sugar daddies in favor of performing at a local strip club. She was a natural at it, and her athleticism combined with her flirtatious and charm earned her the spot as top earning at the club. [9]
During her final years of college, she transferred to Fordham University in order to be closer to the finance industry. [9] [7] For the first two years Jennings supported herself through stripping but later transitioned to courting sugar daddies again. Although many of her clients offered Jennings interviews and job opportunities, she denied them because she wanted to attain those positions with her own merit. [9] After six rounds of interviews, she landed an interview at a top Wall Street firm, Lazard Asset Management. [9]
Finance Career and Mainstream Controversy
On a bed
Jennings worked for Lazard for 8 months before they offered her a full-time position but she rejected it.
Jennings became disillusioned with a "normal" life and did not want to be boxed in by bureaucracy.
[9] In October 2014, she decided to explore other options and stumbled across the porn industry.
[9] Planning to make a big splash, she sent some pictures to the reality show The Sex Factor.
[19] The producers contacted her within three hours and later invited her to the final casting call in Vegas.
They recommended that she open a Twitter account to garner a following before the show.
In her final days of work, she started tweeting sexy selfies of herself at the office under the name Veronica Vain which soon went viral.
A few days later she was informed by her boss's boss that due to revealing pictures of her surfacing online, she should not return to work.
[19] Her story soon was covered by Business Insider, BroBible, and The New York Daily News. [8]
When she left her job on Wall Street, Veronica's Twitter bio was:
“I just left a job on Wall Street for a porn career because I can’t stop masturbating at work and would rather get cum all over my face.
Is that cool with you?”[19]
Pornography Career
After receiving mainstream media attention for her indiscreet office activities, she started receiving a plethora of offers from porn industry heavyweights.
Her porn idol, Kayden Kross who owns the company Arrangement Finders, to do a scene with her. [9] She accepted and went on to have a porn career with over 37 movie credits to her name. [31] One of her most notable films was the the movie Screwing Wall Street. [31] Veronica has been portrayed as a sexy redhead fetish, a Wall Street professional, and a MILF (slang). [11] Veronica's PornHub videos have garnered over 22 million views as of August 2017. [11]
Reasons for Leaving Porn
Veronica left porn abruptly in 2016 and explained her reasons in a YouTube video that has amassed over 800,000 views. First, she did not want to be part of an industry that would lure young women with promises of fame when in reality 90% of porn stars do not make it. She viewed agents as glorified pimps who would try to get the most out of their girls for as little as possible, and that the incentive system in porn was broken where often times agents would side with producers rather than their clients. Several times, Veronica was pressured into doing scenes she did not want to do and she refused, which resulted her getting booked less. The final straw was being forced to work with one particular male performer who she found disrespectful and found out he had syphilis. After she asked for a condom to work with him, the producers laughed at her and she left porn altogether. [21]
Another thing that was bothering Veronica was the sense of pushing ethical boundaries.
In one instance, she felt extremely uncomfortable doing a scene with two 18-year-olds who dropped out of high school to enter the porn industry and the producer made them dress in "basically cloths from the kids section at Target." [21] In addition, she did not feel up to living up to what is expected of a porn star which she saw as being very high maintenance which she is not. [22] Veronica considers porn an incredible learning experience and does not regret leaving Wall Street at all. [21]
Gaming and YouTube Vlogging
Jennings has had a lifelong passion for video games and has been playing them since she was 5.
Her first games were on Super Nintendo and PlayStation 1 and included games like Super Mario Brothers and Crash Bandicoot. Jennings has always considered herself a geek and a tomboy and saw that a gaming channel would be the perfect outlet to express her passion. She started the channel RedHeadRedemption and named it after her hair color and attempt to redeem her image from previous media exploits.
