She was born in Kansas City, Missouri and moved to Los Angeles, California at the age of 16 years old. She has an identical sister named Vanessa. Together they are know throughout Social media as the Merrell Twins.

Veronica is known for her breakout role in the CW Network's Jane the Virgin during its three year run. She has also been
a part of MTV's Faking It in 2015. In 2016 she was also in the movie, The Standoff (2016), which also featured her twin sister.
Veronica and her sister, together they produce content on YouTube with almost 2 million subscribers, and millions of views on their videos. They often produce Comedic videos such as song covers, a day in the life, challenges, and so on.
She was named a top 10 actor in improvisation a the 2009 Actors, Models, and Talent competition.
