Vernon used to work at Maker Studios, working on various projects. It was here that he met the Game Grumps. ^[5]

When he began writing for Game Grumps, he created a YouTube channel called Hot Pepper Gaming. The channel consisted of Shaw, Jared Rosen, Erin Schmalfeld, or a special guest reviewing a game after eating a chili pepper or hot sauce. ^[5]

Vernon's first major project with the Game Grumps was creating the "Retrot Give Grumps!" live stream.
