Vera Jimenez (born 01/12/1965) is an American meteorologist presently working at KTLA 5 News.

Vera was born in Mexico on 5 December 1965. She holds American nationality just as Mexican. Vera experienced childhood in Los Angeles, California in Southern California as her folks moved there when she was three years of age. She is hitched to Brian Herlihy. Brian is a businessman who possesses the Hermosa Beach Fish Shop along with her. Vera has been keen on music since an early age and has figured out how to play the piano. She is extremely attached to sports and infrequently plays basketball. She is exceptionally enthusiastic about films and adores investing her free energy eating popcorns and viewing a decent comedy.

She attended California State University, Long Beach and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in religious studies while she also attended Santa Ana Community College.

Growing up, Vera's plan was to work in the medical field, which later changed as she began to fall in love with news coverage and broadcasting after she attended a journalism course.

She chose to commit her opportunity to news coverage, and kept learning under the mentorship of Professor Terry Bales.

Vera started filling in as an intern for the KIK-FM radio broadcast, after which she found her first employment for Shadow Broadcasting.

She didn't remain there for long, as she moved to KFWB station and afterward to KNX (AM) which is the place she improved her abilities, working for them as their airborne traffic Columnist.

She showed up on TV as a meteorologist for the first time while she was working for the KABC-TV station. She moved from that point to KCBS-TV in Los Angeles, California, and simultaneously studied meteorology at the Mississippi State University, getting her degree in August 2009.

Vera has worked for various TV stations including American Broadcasting Company, NBC, CNN, Univision, and Telemundo. She has been a piece of the KTLA 5 News station since January 2010, and right now fills in as their senior meteorologist. She can be seen at 6 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m. During her profession, Vera has won two Emmy Award, three Golden Mike, and three Golden Pylon Awards.
