Shippy was born and raised in the state of Idaho to parents Cheryl Hunter and Ron Shippy. [undefined] She is an alum of Lake City High School where she was involved in her high school’s student council, student-leadership program, the student representative initiative, and the Softball team. [undefined]

Shippy was a decorated athlete for all four years of her high school career and earned several accolades.
[undefined] She accumulated four First Team All-America selections, four All-State honors and the distinction of being named the 2013-14 Gatorade Idaho Softball Player of the Year.
She also led her squad to a state championship and No. 2 national ranking in 2013 and concluded her her senior year with a.622 mark from the plate, posting 31 stolen bases, 58 runs and 40 RBIs in the process.
Education
She is currently in her senior year at Oklahoma State University where she is double majoring in Finance and Marketing. [undefined] She is also a College athlete and is one of the school's top performers in sports as a player in the Cowgirls Softball

Shippy is one of only two Cowgirls to start in all 52 game.
She became a crucial part of the lineup in her first season with the team, primarily hitting in the three-hole or at the clean-up spot.
She earned the award for conference All-Freshman team honor, thanks to a.306 batting average, three home runs and 28 RBIs.
She tied for second in the Big 12 with 12 doubles.
She also notched a.432 on-base percentage, helping her swipe 16 bags in 21 attempts.
She finished second on the squad with 30 walks and was third on the team in multiple-hit games (13) and multiple-RBI games (7).
She recorded her first-career base-hit in the team’s season opener at Arizona.
Lined her first collegiate home run in the Cowgirls’ one-run loss at South Alabama, a solo shot in the top of the fourth.
Put together a string of four multi-hit performances in as many games, posting two hits apiece in four-consecutive contests.

As a sophomore, she started all 58 games for the second consecutive year and went 3-for-3 against Washington in Oklahoma State’s 8-4 upset win over the No.
9-ranked Huskies.
She went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in Oklahoma State’s win over Ole Miss. She drew a big 12 high four walks against Iowa State.
She led the Big 12 in batting average (.425), runs scored (58), walks (43) and on base percentage (.543).
She finished with the third-most hits in the Big 12 with 76.
Her.425 batting avearge was the highest for a sophomore in Oklahoma State history.
She scored 58 runs, the most in school history.
Showed her eye for the strike zone with a school-record 43 walks.
Posted another single-season OSU record with her.543 on-base percentage.
Hit a team-best.500 in conference play.
She was named a Third-Team All-American selection by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and the Co-Big 12 Player of the Year.
Earned a 3.91 GPA in the classroom on her way to being named a CoSIDA Academic All-American.
Junior
She set an OSU single-season record by appearing in 63 games for Oklahoma State.
One of three Cowgirls to start all 63 games, as her consecutive-games started streak now sits at 173 games - she has never missed a game while at OSU.
She led the Cowgirls in batting average (.398), slugging percentage (.613), hits (72), runs batted in (46), doubles (16), triples (4) and total bases (111).
She finished second on the team in on-base percentage (.517), runs scored (48), walks (47) and stolen bases (11).
She scored four runs against Iowa State, which is tied fourth-highest single-game total in Oklahoma State history.
Her.398 batting average ranks ninth on the program’s all-time single-season list and is the third highest batting average by junior in team history.
She set a new career high with her 47 bases on balls, which would’ve also her own OSU single-season record had it not been for Rylee Bayless’ NCAA-leading 71 walks drawn.
She recorded 19 multi-hit games, which includes a 4-for-5 showing against Texas on March 26 when she tallied two doubles, scored three runs and drove in five more during OSU’s 10-9 come-from-behind walk-off win.
Drove in the only run of Oklahoma State’s 1-0 victory over No. 1 Florida on May 21, as she scored Maddi Holcomb with a one-out double to center field.
Holds the program’s highest career on-base percentage at.502, while also ranking third in career batting average at.381 and fourth in slugging percentage at.562.
Sits ninths on the OSU all-time hits list with 193 through her first three seasons.
She ranks in the top-five on the OSU career record lists for: runs scored (136 - fourth), doubles (42 - fifth), walks (120 - second) and stolen bases (48 - fourth).
She earned her second third-team All-America honor in as many years, making her the sixth Cowgirl to earn multiple All-America honors at Oklahoma State.
She is tabbed as a first-team Academic All-American for the second-consecutive year, making her the first player in OSU history to earn multiple Academic All-America and All-America honors.
