Umberto Buonocuore Mazzolla was an Italo-Venezuelan actor and comedian ( Naples, Italy, n. November 15 1930 - Caracas, Venezuela, f. 29 September 2007[2]). [1]

Biography

Umberto Buonocuore Mazzolla was born in Nápoles, Italy on November 15, 1930, he arrived in Venezuelan at a very young age (23) in 1953, and it was here that he became an actor, alongside Juana Sujo. Later he made a foray into Television, and between television and the stage, he spent a good part of his long life. Although he started out as an actor, he always had the desire to be a director, and that is how he brought excellent plays to life on the stage, without forgetting his passion for acting. His first work as a director was The Three Movements of Love, in which he also acted, alongside Olimpia Maldonado, Domingo Velásquez, and Ana Morales.

In terms of acting, Umberto Buonocuore stood out in two genres: drama and comedy.

As for drama, he played several roles in soap operas.

He acted in the following dramas: Leonela (1983), Mansión de Luxe (1986), Mi amada Beatriz (1987), Señora (1988), Por amarte tanto (1993), Dulce enemiga (1994-95), Ka Ina (1995), El Perdón De Los Pecados (1996), A A todo corazón (1997), Mujercitas (1999), Muñeca de trapo (2000), Felina (2001), Mambo y canela (2002), Sabor a ti(2004) and Con toda el alma (2005). Her last participation on the small screen was in the soap opera Ciudad Bendita, on Venevisión.

As for the comic genre, Umberto Buonocuore participated in Las mil y una risas, La rueda, El barbero de Sevilla, El show de Joselo, El show de López, La Noticia Bomba, Bienvenidos, Cheverísimo and Cásate y verás. The last play that Buonocuore wrote and directed was called "Seis Lolas y Un Loló" (Six Lolas and One Lolo)

He died in the early hours of the morning, at the age of 76, after fighting cancer for three years.
