History
Under David Jurgens, the team set multiple records in California state powerlifiting meets in USAPL under both raw and equipped divisions.
Jurgens then left the team to pursue postgraduate studies in winter 2013 and Ryan White took over as coach while Alex Pakalniskis served as president.
After one quarter, White took a hiatus from the team, leaving Pakalniskis to serve as overall leader.
Following Fall 2013, Pakalniskis resigned due to excess levels of serum sodium, leaving then treasurer Kassie Brubaker as president.
Under the Brubaker administration, the team's operations proceeded as normal for several months, but tensions were beginning to build between the administration and the members of the team.
Following the February meet, a group led by Elliott Wu splintered off from the team, sparking what historians refer to as the Bruin Powerlifting Civil War, tanking the team roster to approximately five.
The team's outlook was bleak, but and end to the conflict drew near with the conclusion of the 2013-2014 season.
Following the end of Brubaker's term, White returned as coach and Wu's group merged with the team, appointing Wu to Grand Kaiser of the team.
This ushered in a new age of gains with White and Wu working in tandem to boost the team's ability to train well and produce high level lifters who set numerous more state records.
White left the team at the conclusion of the 2014-2015 season, leaving Elliott Wu to lead the team onward into the future.
During Wu's presidency term, the team continued to accept new members who grow and compete as well as maintain a strong veteran presence.
However, the age was not without strife as a sudden aggressor has driven the team into what is now being referred to the Equestrian War.
Wu and his administration fought vigilantly to keep the team's operations afloat, but eventually had to surrender to the cumulative strength of UCLA Club Sports and Fitwell and a treaty was signed, appointing a new coach to the team yet exiling them out of the UCLA Wooden Center.
After the affair, Wu resigned due to a significant increase in serum sodium, and then treasurer Eric Du took office.
The team now trains in Drake Stadium, and is looking to rebuild back to its former glory to move forward into the Du age.
