Tyrell Fortune is a former two-time state Wrestling champion in high school.

He is also a former NCAA champion at Grand Canyon University.

Tyrell has trained with Blackzilians in Boca Raton, Florida in the same camp where Ultimate Fighting Championship legends Vitor Belfort and Eddie Alvarez once trained.
