As a yoga instructor, one of her students Elizabeth Palumbo remembered Tricia for how her yoga teaches helped her overcome a traumatic event. As a nutrionist and herbalist she helped a friend overcome her embarassment of having allergies and helped them improve their diet.

Tricia McCauley has acted in both movies and theater. She has featured in movies including Step Up, The Paper Girl, and Never Dream: The Beginning. She also has over ten acting credits from the Washington Stage Guild.
Tricia McCauley also owns NuTricia Consulting, a workplace wellnes and coaching company and Leafyhead Lotions & Potions which sells all natural body products including lotions, skin Cream, lip balm and bath salts. [1]

Death
On Decemeber 27, 2016 Adrian Duane Johnson was charged with first degree murder in the death of yoga instructor, actress, and herbalist Tricia McCauley. McCauley’s body was found in her car early Tuesday, and police said an autopsy showed she had been strangled and raped.
On December 27, 2016 Tricia was found dead.
Tricia's brother Brian McCauley made a Facebook post stating that her body had been found in a group called Find Tricia McCauley which has been renamed to In Memory of Tricia McCauley.

Tricia McCauley was reported missing on December 26, 2016 by D.C. Police. Police have reported her as a critical missing person because they believe she is at great risk and could have been abducted.
She didn't show up to a Christmas dinner at a friend's house in Northwest D.C.
Sunday night and also failed to show up for a flight out of Ronald Reagan National Airport on Monday morning, according to her brother and friends.
D.C. police have released the above photo of a man they said may be driving McCauley's car, a white, two-door Scion iQ with D.C. plates FC0274. Her car also has a yellow bumper sticker that says "plant more plants."
Police say they have located a car belonging to a missing D.C. yoga instructor.
Shortly after midnight Tuesday, police found Tricia McCauley’s missing Toyota Scion near 22nd and M streets in northwest D.C.
They are now questioning a man who they say matches the description of a “person of interest” in the case.
The man is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, with an athletic or muscular build.
There was a large police presence outside her home in the 2000 block of North Capitol St. NW in Bloomingdale, WA, D.C. on Monday night as officers searched the area for evidence. Police also went door-to-door to talk to McCauley's neighbors.

McCauley is described as a White / Caucasian female, 5 feet 4 inches and 120 pounds with light brown eyes, brown hair and a light complexion.
