Trey Lance is an American football player from Marshall, Minnesota who plays as a quarterback for the North Dakota State Bison football team. ^[1]

Trey Lance grew up in Marshall, Minnesota with his brother Bryce and his parents Carlton and Angie Lance. Carlton played football for Southwest Minnesota State University and even participated in NFL camps with the Houston Oilers and San Francisco 49ers. He ended up playing in the CFL with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and also in the World League for the London Monarchs. ^[8]

Trey graduated from John Marshall High School where he was a starting quarterback and captain of the basketball team. He is attending North Dakota State University where he is majoring in business administration. ^[1]

Trey Lance was a three-year starter who played quarterback and strong safety under coach Terry Bahlmann. During his time there, Trey passed for 3,026 yards and a set a school-record 33 TDs.

He played all 15 games of his 2018 season with John Marshall High School before going on to play for the North Dakota State Bison where he played in two games against South Dakota and North Alabama and used a redshirt for the rest of the year.

Lance was able to run two touchdowns against North Alabama totaling 44 yards and another 23 yards were ran against South Dakota.

As a recruit, 247Sports.com ranked him 1796th nationally, 46th as a quarterback, and the 7th best football prospect in MN for the class of 2018. They also gave him a composite score of 0.8104. ^[1]
