Don King Productions January 29th world title twinbill from Warren, Ohio was a $49.99 PPV professional boxing card available through Donking.com, DKPBoxing.com, and at itube247.com. Veteran boxing announcer Bob Alexander and former WBA lightweight champion Ray Mancini were the broadcasters for the match.[3]
The co-main events featured WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu (28-2, 25 KOs) defending his title against against Thabiso Mchunu (23-5, 13 KOs) and WBA heavyweight champion Trevor Bryan defending his title against Jonathan Guidry.
Guidry was ranked thirteenth in the heavyweight division by the World Boxing Association at the time of his match with Bryan. Bryan won the world title by defeating Bermane Stiverne in 2021. Ilunga Makabu retained his title by twelve round split decision over mandatory challenger Thabiso Mchunu. Makabu previously stopped Mchunu in round eleven back in 2015, this time it was a close tactical bout with scores of 115-113, 116-112 Makabu, 115-113 Mchunu.
There were six bouts on the card.
On February 1, 2022, the WBA ordered ' champion Trevor Bryan to make a mandatory defence of that belt against number one contender Daniel Dubois by the end of July.[8]

Don King Productions is a Florida based company that traces back to the 1970's. Bryan's head trainer for his match with Guidry was Stacey McKinley.
Result
WBA heavyweight champion Trevor Bryan (22-0, 15 KOs) scored a twelve round split decision against Jonathan Guidry (17-1-2, 10 KOs).
The larger Bryan pressed the action and Guidry often gave ground, but there were good exchanges throughout the fight.
Bryan finally dropped Guidry in the final seconds of the bout.
Scores were 118-109, 116-111 Bryan, 115-112 Guidry.

That was a fantastic fight.
Jonathan Guidry put on a tremendous fight, and the heavyweight champion got out by the skin of his teeth.
I don’t know why Trevor (Bryan) wasn’t throwing his right hand as much as he could have.
The whole card has been spectacular.
I am just as proud as I can be.
