When police arrived at the scene they found Gillum inebriated, though he denied taking any drugs. While Gillum says he was in town for a wedding, Dyson denied knowing about it. [1]
The hotel room at Mondrian South Beach Hotel was rented by a 53 year old man named Aldo Mejias, who walked in to find Gillum throwing up and Dyson unconscious from a methamphetamine overdose. He performed CPR on Travis until paramedics showed up and took him to the hospital. Gillum was allowed to go home. [1]
