Accusations
According to McLellan, his friend who filmed the incident claimed that the situation began when she let the woman ahead of her in line because she had less items and claimed to be in a hurry.
[0]The woman then allegedly turned to the Muslim shopper and pointed out another Muslim woman in the store, who was wearing a Niqāb, a type of traditional head covering. McLellan claims that the woman then asked his Muslim friend why she didn’t cover as well, to which his friend replied that it was a choice. McLellan then claims the woman didn’t believe her and told his friend “I wish they didn’t let you in the country.” After a series of exchanges, the woman is then heard telling the Muslim shopper than "Obama is no longer [in the White House ]." The video then ends as the two women continue to exchange verbal insults. [0]
A Facebook account claiming to be the Muslim shopper's husband posted an extensive status explaining the sitaution in further detail and corroborating the story the Muslim shopper told Jeremy McLellan. [3]
