Torchy's Tacos
Torchy's Tacos
Torchy's Tacos is a chain of Taco restaurants in the United States of America. [6]
History
In 2006, Torchy's Tacos was started as a Taco truck in Austin, Texas on Bouldin Creek at South 1st by Michael Rypka. He first attracted customers by offering free homemade salsa and chips and invited them to his establishment. When they tried his Tacos they replied that they were "Damn Good," and the motto stuck to the Torchy Taco's brand. Today, Torchy's Tacos operates 30 stores and a food truck in Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. [2]
In February 2020, Torchy's Tacos announced opening in Abilene, Texas in May 2020. Foundation work has begun on the 4,900-square-foot building, which is valued at $2.1 million, according to a permitting report from the city.[21]
