Toni Sallie is a former music journalist based in New York, New York.

Sallie graduated from Memphis Catholic High School. She went on to attend Lemoyne-Owen College.

She has worked as a promoter for Warner Bros. Records, and as a music journalist for for the trade magazine Black Radio Exclusive. ^[1]

On Tuesday December 13, 2017, Sallie, Tina Baker, and Drew Dixon accused Russell Simmons of rape in an article published in the New York Times. ^[1]

Sallie claimed Simmons raped her in 1988 after the two stopped dating.

She stated in the Times he invited her to a party, but the place was empty when she arrived. The Simmons then led her to the bedroom. ^[1]

"He pushed me on the bed and jumped on top of me, and physically attacked me," she stated.

I said no." Simmons has denied the allegations.
