After being tormented for her sex tape, Italian Tiziana Cantone hanged herself.

She had sent the tape to a former lover.

The video began circulating the internet early 2015.

Tiziana Cantone was found dead in Naples, Italy on 14 September 2016. [1]

Many people were outraged by the death of Tiziana, believing it to be an unnecessary result of people's hatred.

The double standard that society places on women, by both sexualizing them and shaming them, is particularly problematic. A YouTube video by another Italian-speaker outlined some of these issues, believing her to be the subject of injustice.
