Thunderlord (WoW Server)

Thunderlord (WoW Server)

Thunderlord (US PvP) is a low population server (also referred to as a realm) for the MMORPG, World of Warcraft. [0]The server was launched in 2004. [1]
The Thunderlord server was created upon World of Warcraft's inception; November 23, 2004.
Like most realms that were available upon release, it has a rich history with an equally rich community, spanning throughout the release of Wrath of the Lich King.
However, it has also suffered a great deal of attrition since that time.
Nevertheless, a small core of the community and many newcomers have kept this server afloat, as it has never qualified for a free realm transfer.
The estimated Alliance to Horde ratio is 44.8% Alliance and 55% Horde with 0.2% Unknown (most likely Neutral Pandaren), making it a relatively balanced server.
There are an estimated 305,443 characters on the Thunderlord server, 65.5% of which are male characters and 34.5% of which are female characters.
The most popular Character Race on Thunderlord is Blood Elf, accounting for 16.7% of the population.
The most popular Character Class on Thunderlord is Hunter, accounting for 11% of the total population.
Name Origins
The Thunderlord server is named after the Thunderlord clan: a proud, Orcish clan that dwelled in Eastern Frostfire Ridge.
The Thunderlord clan was one of many that were left behind on Draenor during the First and Second Wars, but the Thunderlords later rallied under Ner'zhul's new banner.
In the current day, the clan appears to be defunct, its members having been transformed into Fel Orcs.
The clan had strong ties to both the Blackrock and Lightning's Blade clans and was known for its skilled hunters.
