Thomas Healy

Thomas Healy is the CEO of Hyliion. [1] He is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. [1] Healy was selected to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2017 for the Energy category.

Education

Healy attended Thayer Academy where he was member of Football and Lacrosse Team (in which he was Captain for Lacrosse) as well as the Physics Olypics (in which she was Captain) and Robotics Club. [1] He graduated in 2010 and enrolled into Carnegie Mellon University. [1] An active student, Healy was a University Disciplinary Board Member, CIT Senator, Varsity Football Team Member, Resident Assistant, Carnegie Institute of Technology Virtual Peer Advisor, Mechanical Engineering Student Advisory Council Member, Engineering and Public Policy Student Advisory Council Member. [1] He graduated in 2014 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering and Public Policy and a minor in Business Administration. [1] Healy would earn a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon as well. [1]

Career

An entrepreneur early on, Healy founded the promotion product company Promos On Campus and the research company HeadSmart Labs.

[1] In 2015, he founded Hyliion which installs hybrid electric technology in trucks to make them more fuel efficient by 30%.
