Michael Marquardt, better known by the username Theymos, is an administrator on Bitcoin Talk as well as a moderator on Reddit. He has been criticized for censorship in the Bitcoin community as well as the mishandling of funds for BitcoinTalk.
Theymos signed up for the Bitcoin Talk Forum on February 09, 2010.
He wrote the Bitcoin Block Explorer, although he does not run it anymore.
In 2013, Theymos wrote on Bitcoin Talk:
The free and open discussions on this forum help individuals and the Bitcoin community achieve Truth.
Everyone has some wisdom or knowledge to contribute to a discussion, and everyone who reads the discussion and gains that knowledge gets closer to the Truth.
This is much more effective than having truth dictated by a handful of moderators or voted on by an electorate.
