Life and Activities
Thane was born and raised in Mahaffey and attended Purchase Line Junior/Senior High School. He was a junior firefighter for the Mahaffey Volunteer Fire Department. Thane is remembered for his sense of humor, service to his community, and for his friendly attitude. [4]
Death
On February 28th, Thane was burning garbage in a metal barrel in Bell Township when the barrel exploded, with the debris hitting him to the neck. He was transported to UPMC Altoona where he later died from his injuries. [3]
