Tevin Biles-thomas is the older brother of olympic gymnast, Simone Biles. He was charged with murder for his involvement in a deadly shooting that left three people dead and two injured in Cleveland. ^[1]

Tevin Biles-Thomas didn't grow up with his Olympian sister.

Simone and her younger sister were adopted by their mom's grandfather and his wife.

Their mother abused drugs and alcohol and had been to jail many times. Tevin and two other siblings were placed in foster care. ^[2]

The shooting took place at a New Year's Eve party at an Airbnb in Cleveland on December 31. The Cleveland Division of Police and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office said an altercation ensued when uninvited guests showed up at the party. ^[2]

Tevin Biles-Thomas was arrested Fort Stewart Army Base in Georgia. He was charged with murder, voluntary manslaughter, felonious assault and perjury in connection with the shooting. Biles-Thomas, was on active duty in the Army at the time of the shooting. He is being held at Liberty County Jail in Hinesville, Georgia. ^[2]

Three men were shot and killed: Devaughn Gibson, DelVaunte Johnson, and Toshon Banks.

One woman was shot in the arm and a man who was shot in the back of the head survived.
