Early Life
Tessa Netting was raised in Pottstown, Pennsylvania with her parents Leslie and David Netting.
[22]Growing up, she was constantly singing show tunes and dancing at her mother's dance studio, Dance One Studios.
When she was in high school, she discovered musical theater.
In her freshman year, she got the lead in her school’s production of *Seussical *. One year later, she got her first professional production at Bristol Riverside Theater: *Mrs.
Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge *.
She dropped out of high school before her senior year and moved to New York City.
Career
Broadway

After her first professional performance during her high school years, Netting landed her first Broadway performance.
At age 17, she was in the original Broadway cast of *Billy Elliot the Musical * and performed in over 1,000 shows.
She beat out 1500 girls for the role of Susan Parks (the spastic starfish), one of the 11 original ballet girls.

On December 27, 2010, Tessa Netting started uploaded content to her tessaROXX YouTube channel.
It quickly gained popularity for fusing Broadway and pop culture into parody format.
Her second video, "HELLO-Harry Potter Book of Mormon Parody," went viral and landed her in publications among the likes of Forbes, [14] NY Magazine, [23] Huffington Post, [20] Syfy, [15] CBS, and NBC.
She has also been a host for the YouTube show *The Daily ReHash *****.
Bunk'd
From 2015 to 2016, Tessa Netting played the role of Hazel in *Bunk'd *. In the Jessie spin-off, Hazel is an obsessive, snobbish person.
She is also mean to Peyton List's character Emma because she and Xander (Kevin Quinn's character), who she claims to be "guy of her dreams".
Personal Life
She also has a sister named Kelsey who is a dancer.
She is a big fan of the StarKid theatre company, which has included performers such as Darren Criss, Lauren Lopez, and Joe Walker.
She is involved in charity work for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
