Early Life and Education
Tessa Berenson is a native of Washington, DC, Tessa Berenson graduated in 2010 from the National Cathedral School, where she was news editor of the school newspaper as well as Captain of the varsity softball team. Berenson went on to attend Yale University, from which she graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Outside of the classroom, Berenson was Publisher of The New Journal, a staff member of the Yale Literary Magazine, a member of the Connecticut chapter of Pi Beta Phi, and resident of Jonathan Edwards College. Berenson also undertook internships at FrumForum, Bethesda Magazine, Crain's New York Business, and Yale University Press. [1]
Career
While schooling, Tessa Berenson was an intern at FrumForum.com, Bethesda Magazine, where Tessa Berenson generated story ideas, arranged and conducted interviews, wrote profile pieces to be published in the magazine, assisted with web research and participated in issue planning meetings, and Crain's New York City Business, where she did original reporting and writing.[1]
At her graduation from Yale, Tessa Berenson was employed as a staff writer by TIME Magazine, where she has covered the Donald Trump presidential campaign from its inception, profiled Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina, and reported on the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch as well as the Mueller investigation. Berenson was promoted to White House Correspondent in early 2018. [1]
