Telly Zelly is a Puerto Rican hip hop artist from Bushwick, Brooklyn. Her rap name is adapted from her last name which ends with -telli. ^[1][2]

Telly Zelly grew up in Bushwick, Brooklyn and laments how gentrification is ruining the culture of the city she grew up in.

In 2019, Telly dropped out of college to pursue music full-time, she even got a tattoo on her face that says "Suck My Dick" across her left brow.

She explaiend her reasoning:

"To be honest, theres a lot of reasons, I just felt like i committed to that decision, people was turning on me, everybody just so fucking upset they not dealing with the same person they was fucking comfortable with but i think at the end of the day when you i think you growing into new shit that you never done before its gonna be awkward, at the end of the day its rooted in the message of not caring about what the world thinks about you"

She also appeared on Dr. Phil with her mother and aunt to speak about her "don't give a fuck attitude" and musical aspirations.

In April of 2019, Telly appeared on the "It's a 212 Thing" show and freestlyed over the "I Got 5 On It" beat.
