In the March 3 2016 Republican Presidential Debate, Senator Ted Cruz had a weird thing on his lip.
Some believe the thing was a tonsil stone, some contend that it was a booger.
(It might also have been a piece of rice but who knows..)
Other possibilities are that it was some sort of whitehead.. or herpes.
A fleck of a canker sore inside his mouth perhaps..
After some time, TED CRUZ ATE THE THING.
Ted Cruz was attacking Donald Trump about government waste fraud when the thing appeared.
