Tara Olivia Setmayer-Love (b. September 9, 1975) is a conservative political commentator for CNN. She resides in New York City and is from Paramus, New Jersey.
Biography
Family Background
Tara Setmayer was born in Queens, New York to a Guatemalan father and a mother of German and Italian descent. She was raised in Paramus, New Jersey. Her family has been long time residents of Paramus, where her grandfather - Emil Setmayer - served 40 years with the Paramus Police Department, retiring as captain and 71 years with the Paramus Company 03 Volunteer Fire Department.
Education
Setmayer went to Paramus High School, from which she graduated in 1993. She then went to George Washington University, where she majored in Journalism and Political Science (with an emphasis in public policy).

For seven years, Setamayor worked as the communications director for Representative Dana Rohrabacher until she transitioned into journalism in 2013 where she hosted The Real News on The Blaze.

In December 2014, Setmayer became a political commentator for was a CNN.

She regularly appeared on CNN's New Day , Erin Burnett OutFront, Anderson Cooper 360 °, and CNN Tonight with Don Lemon news analysis shows. While on several panel discussion programs on the network, she strongly opposed Donald Trump's views despite the fact that she is a registered Republican.

Personal Life
On September 4, 2013, Tara Setmayer got married.
She and her husband, Marcelle Love, wed in Castello di Caccamo, a castle in Caccamo on the coast of Sicily.
Multiple members of Tara Setmayer's family are involved in law enforcement.
This includes Marcelle and her grandfather.
