Talon Owens was a resident of Boise, Idaho. [1] He was remembered as being a young advocate for suicide prevention.
Life & Activities
Owens attended West Junior High in Boise.
He was also public about his struggles with depression.
He was known as an advocate for mental health help and suicide prevention for teens.
Death
On November 23, 2017, died Thanksgiving Day when the convertible he was driving rolled in Elmore County.
Owens was driving south on Simco Road when he veered off the right shoulder, overcorrected, and lost control.
The 1998 Toyota convertible he was driving rolled, throwing Owens from the vehicle.
Owens was airlifted to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, but died from his injuries hours after the wreck.
He died from blunt force trauma.
Legacy
Owens' family set up a GoFundMe to help raise money for his funeral. As of Friday November 24, 2017, the fund has raised up to than $4,390 of the $24,000 goal.
