She then started working at Yelp in the customer support section of Yelp/Eat24.

During her time in the department she would answer customer calls and helping them.

She became an online sensation on February 19, 2016 after she wrote an open letter to Yelp Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Stoppleman about why she can't afford groceries.

The letter went viral on social media within two hours and she was fired.
