Syph is a rapper from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. He is the owner of Nu Money Gang.
Early Life
Syph was born and raised in Toronto, Mississauga.
Career
Syph began his campaign to notoriety in late 2015 with his debut mixtape titled “Rookie of the Year” sparking mass momentum; with features from the likes of Roc Nation’s Belly and fellow Toronto-native Tory Lanez amongst others. Rookie of the Year immediately received spotlight attention while breaking the one-million stream/download mark and was featured by publications such as Karen Civil, Hotnewhiphop, and HipHopDX a – instantly catapulting Syph into a must-hear freshmen in the Hip-hop genre.
Syph didn’t waste any time in 2016 and followed his mixtape with the Noisey-Vice premiered “Off The Boat” featuring Smoke Dawg. By mid-2016, Syph had made enough noise to catch the eye of MMG artist Tracy T – a huge opportunity that found Syph in the studio recording “The Bag”, a track that can be found spotlighted in the Golden Globe award-winning television show “Atlanta”. The aforementioned collaboration between Syph and Tracy T also lead the upcoming star into recording sessions for Meek Mill’s “Dreamchaser 4” project.
He then followed with the Worldstarhiphop premiered “Pull Up” with Torey Lanez to much regard. The incredible work ethic continued when Syph displayed his song writing skills while also being featured on Interscope artist Pia Pia’s single On & On. Year 2017 commenced with the single “A Whole Lot/Dirty Bird” – a Fader premier that will serve as a promotional setup for his new upcoming EP entitled “Finally” dropping early 2017.[4]
The Nu Money gang artist returns in 2020 with his latest and first released of the year titled "Grudge", following 2019’s “Lonely,” the Pressa-assisted “Marilyn Monroe,” and “Get The Bag,” (which featured Philthy Rich).[3]
