Sydni Dion Bennett (born January 11, 2001) became the first black girl to be crowned Miss Illinois Teen USA in the competition’s 34-year history. ^[1] ^[2]She was 16 years old when she won the Miss Illinois Teen USA pageant in September 2017. ^[3]

Bennett attends the Chicago Academy for the Arts as a dance major.
