Sydney Holland (July 20, 1998-February 27, 2017) was an 18-year-old student at Chipola College from Marianna, Florida. She was known as a beautiful young woman with a contagious smile and a bubbly personality.

Sydney Holland was born in Dothan, Al and was a lifelong resident of Marianna, Florida. Sydney was of the Baptist Christian faith. Her parents are Jeffrey Paul and Stacey Holland of Marianna. Her paternal grandmother is Bernice Holland of Marianna, her sister is Kristen Holland of Marianna and nephew is Branson. Her maternal grandmother Margaret Walker, great maternal grandmother Hazel Lord, and her paternal grandfather Earl Holland passed away before her death. ^[1]

Sydney Holland Sydney was a student at Chipola College in Marianna, Florida in the nursing program where she had recently earned her AA Degree in December. She also worked at Paramore's Pharmacy & Gifts in Marianna while in college. She graduated from Marianna High School in 2016. ^[1]

On February 26, 2017 Sydney died in a car accident. The Florida Highway Patrol said that Syndey Holland of Marianna was driving south on County Road 269 around 8:10 p.m. on Sunday when they said her car traveled off the road and onto the shoulder. They said that she failed to follow a left curve in the road. Holland's car hit a culvert before it collided into a tree, finally stopping the vehicle. Police say Holland was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where she later died from her injuries. Toxicology reports are pending.
