Swordsman At Large

Swordsman At Large (蕭十一郎) is a 1971 Hong Kong wuxia film directed by Teng Hung Hsu. The film was produced by Run Run Shaw for Shaw Brothers and is based on the screenplay and story by Lung Ku.[1][2]

Plot overview

Xiao the Rambler is a skilled swordsman and everyone is out to get him.

Wherever he goes, people know of his reputation and he is often challenged to a fight.

A sword is created for the sole purpose of eliminating Xiao but the sword soon becomes the object that everyone desires the most.

Many of Xiao's enemies will stop at nothing to gain possession of the sword, called the 'Deer Knife'.

Production and release

Swordsman At Large was shot on 35mm color film and features Mandarin dialogue on a mono audio soundtrack. The Shawscope cinematographic process was used in production and the film's total runtime is 89 minutes. The film premiered on 22 October 1971 in Hong Kong.[3]
