Susana Traverso (Buenos Aires, Argentina; February 11, 1953) is a former Argentinean star and actress. [1]
Career and life
Traverso began working as an executive secretary, until an important businessman discovered her and she started in the field of advertising. She was the face of different brands aimed at the male public, such as "Ginebra Llave" (Peters Hnos.) and "Vinos Uvita" (RPB s.a). Later on, she did some advertising for the National Lottery with Alberto Olmedo, Jorge Porcel and Luis Puenzo.
In cinema, she starred in a great number of films including Susana quiere, el Negro también! (1987) by Julio de Grazia, Mirame la palomita (1985), accompanying Alberto Olmedo and Jorge Porcel and Mingo y Aníbal, dos pelotazos en contra (1984).
On television she acted in Alberto Olmedo's comedy show No toca botón, from which she was replaced by Monica Gonzaga. In 1998 she hosted the entertainment series Sipi-nopo on Channel 12 (Teledoce) in Uruguay, together with Cacho de la Cruz.
In November 1978, Traverso made her stage debut and went on to appear in Es-conde El Draculín (1979) and Let's live a dream (1981), among others.
She was romantically linked to Venezuelan singer José Luis "El puma" Rodríguez.
In the 1980s she had her only son with Nito Mecozzi whom she named Alan.
After an abrupt separation from Mecozzi, she formed a family with a Paraguayan businessman, whom she married in 1991.
Trivia
In 1991, Traverso had a major accident while rolling down a ladder, and had had to have 24 stitches in one leg.
She has a grandson named Dylan.
