Sexual Assault Against Inmate
In 2013, it has been documented that she met Steven Moarman when he was incarcerated and began their sexual relationship a year later.
In September, 2014, she was banned from prison grounds after a colleague caught her and Moarman having sex in her office.
She was fired in January 2015 and gave birth to their daughter months later.
Later, she was charged with second-degree criminal sexual misconduct and spent 27 days in jail for it.
The Prison Rape Elimination Act makes it impossible for an inmate to have consensual sex with any prison employee. [undefined]
In written statements she admitted knowing she could be fired for having sex with the man.
She claims: "I did not know I could be prosecuted for this.
I knew I could get into trouble — including firing."
A DNA test in April was done to confirm that Moerman was the child's father.
