Lim begins to aggressively headlock her.
On Thursday, March 9th, 2017, an altercation broke out between Lim and an unnamed woman he thought was trying to steal items from the store.
Lim and another co-worker confronted the woman as she purchased an item.
They asked if they could check her bag for the additional items.
Lim begins to question the woman harshly, accusing her of stealing a pack of eyelashes that cost $3.99.
When the woman begins to deny the accusation and tries to leave, Lim and his co-worker begin shoving her.
Lim and the woman begin pushing one another until Lim begins to feel aggravated and delivers a kick to the side of the woman's body.
The woman even points out to Lim that he checked her bag and didn't find anything.
A struggle ensues between the two as the black woman attempts to back Lim away from her.
She eventually falls down to the floor where Lim puts her in a chokehold.
Meanwhile, someone in the store calls the police.
Lim filed a report with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department alleging “strong-arm robbery” by a woman, about 25 and wearing a pink hoodie.
The report says that, when the woman attempted to leave the store, Lim blocked the exit and
asked her to show him what was in her bag.
The report says the woman refused “and a struggle ensued” before she fled in a silver Dodge sedan.
Police said Monday that “the suspect has not been identified or arrested.”
It describes Lim as “the victim,” and says he has not been charged.
According to a police report which Lim filed for strong armed robbery, the incident happened Thursday.
The report says the woman stole eyelashes from the store.
Meanwhile, community leaders and customers who showed up to Missha Beauty Sunday afternoon said they are not satisfied with Lim's defense.
They said even if the woman stole something, he should not have attacked her like he did.
Members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg chapter of the NAACP also joined the protest.
Corine Mack said the video was disturbing.
Neither the woman nor Lim have been arrested or apprehended by the police.
