Sue Klebold (Born in 1948) is the 68-year-old mother of 1999 Columbine killer, Dylan Klebold.
On February 12, Klebold broke her 17-year silence by giving her first TV interview on Diane Sawyer's 20/20 in regards to her feelings on the Columbine shooting. Prior to the interview, Klebold had never appeared on television. In the interview, Klebold talks about what her life has been like after April 20, 1999, when her son Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris went on a shooting rampage at Columbine High School- One of the deadliest high school shootings in U.S. history. In a 2009 essay, Klebold wrote that her son had a fun childhood but things changed when he became a teenager.
To this day, Klebold and her Husband do not understand why Dylan Klebold took part in the massacre. [undefined]
Klebold also announced that she is releasing a book called, A Mother's Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy.
However, she plans on donating all profits from the book to mental health charities and research.
