In 2016 he charged a female police officer with manslaughter after the shot she fired at a man killed him.
According to the Tulsa County DA website page, as of 2016 he has had a 25-year career as a prosecutor and District Attorney.
The website also says, "my number one priority is public safety, the prosecution of violent criminals and protection of our most vulnerable children and elderly citizens who often cannot protect themselves."
