Steve Gold (born March 1, 1985) is a real estate agent and reality television star based out of New York City. He is presently one of three real estate agents featured on Bravo's Million Dollar Listing New York. Gold and his team of real estate agents, The Gold Group NYC, are part of The Corcoran Group. Steve Gold is also well known for his previous Career as a model for fashion brands including Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, and Giorgio Armani. [34] [35]
Life & Education
Steve Gold is the son of Nancy and Richard Gold, he was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut. [52] He is an avid sportsman and grew up sailboat racing in the Long Island Sound with his Father on their boat, Turning Point. He also enjoys ice hockey, boxing, skiing and surfing. [34] Gold is of Jewish, Swedish, Scottish, English, and Russian ethnicity. [7] [38]
Steve Gold graduated magna cum laude from the Stern School of Business at New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing in 2007. He was a member of the NYU Violets Ice Hockey Team and the Beta Gamma Sigma, honor society. Gold's coursework included Emerging Markets, Investment Principles, Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Foundations of Financial Markets, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting. [34]
Personal Life
Steve Gold has two older sisters.
His eldest sister, Laura has a learning disability. In Season 6 Episode 11 of Million Dollar Listing New York, Steve Gold visited his parents and Laura. He spoke about Laura and said, “She might have some difficulties in some things, but in some other areas she far exceeds people. She is the most genuinely kind person on this planet.” In the episode, he also spoke about his parents Marriage of more than 40 years saying, “It’s something I truly look up to them for and I hope I have that some day.” [52] [45]
Relationships
Steve Gold was dating New York City socialite, Brittny Gastineau since May 2018. On May 11, 2018 Brittny posted a photo of the couple vacationing together in St. Lucia. [43] [41] They met at a Basel party.
In one of the episodes of Million Dollar Listing New York, Gold and then-pregnant Luiza sat down to discuss some options for their baby girl’s moniker. They started with discussing Polish names, as Luiza is from Poland, but she turned down Gold's choices like Zuzanna, Lena and Zofia. The then-father-to-be then suggested the name Rose after his great-grandmother who was from Russia. Luiza agreed.[101]
Workout & Diet
Steve Gold typically does weight training four to five times a week, however during the summer it sometimes drops to two to three times a week. He usually focuses on a single muscle group per day because this strategy allows him to get a good burn and still be done in less than 45 minutes. In the summer, he enjoys outdoor activities including surfing and biking. [46]
He trains at the DogPound gym in Hudson Square with the owner, Kirk Meyers. Steve Gold also enjoys working out at Chelsea Piers, where he plays basketball and swims laps to add variety. [46]
Career
Early Career
During high school and university, Steve Gold aspired to work in finance. From March to August 2006, while at NYU, he worked as an intern for The Carlyle Group, a multinational private equity, alternative asset management and financial services corporation, in their Infrastructure Fund. In this role, he provided analytical and research support for full time employees. He also conducted background research on potential investment transactions. He prepared industry overviews and macro sector outlooks. He created outlines of key facts on many potential target companies that were sent to fund's co-heads. Steve Gold assisted in creation of fundraising presentations to help select logical, limited partners. Steve Gold helped educate fund co-heads on current industry activity in relevant states, through specific research and preparation of briefing materials, in advance of specific state pension fund fundraising presentations. Steve Gold participated in the creation and maintenance of a deal database used to track and manage current and potential deal flow. He provided key figures relating to public–private partnership and other infrastructure industry legislation. He also wrote an Investment Committee memo for a North American port deal. Steve Gold investigated and reported on potential target companies for airport, maritime port, parking lot, and rest stop deals. [36]
Modeling
Steve Gold started modeling after his friend brought him to a casting call in Manhattan. At the time, Gold and his friend had been working as a lifeguards at a swim club called the Italian Center in Stamford, Connecticut. After the casting call Steve Gold got several offers from different modeling agencies while his friend who brought him struck out. [38]
During a shoot in Arizona in 2005, with photographer Pamela Hanson, not long before he was to graduate from college, he had to decide whether he would continue modeling or go into the world of finance full time. A recruiter from the investment bank, Petsky Prunier called with a job offer. “I’m having so much fun, riding horses in this ranch, and I’m shooting with this beautiful girl, and I said to the guy, ‘Can I think about it?’” Steve Gold recalls. “And he said, ‘What?’”[38]
Steve Gold decided to go into modeling full time.
He worked another three years in the industry until work started to dry up.
During his career in addition to modeling for Louis Vuitton, Steve Gold also modeled for Givenchy, Salvatore Ferragamo, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani. During this time he was photographed by many top photographers including Steven Meisel and Terry Richardson. [38] [34]
Real Estate
Steve Gold decided to become a real estate salesperson after he noticed a real-estate friend of his who “was having fun but making great money.” While Gold had never thought about going into real estate as a career growing up he was always interested in real estate and enjoyed reading the Mansions section of the Wall Street Journal . In 2007 began his career as a real estate agent for Brown Harris Stevens in New York City. Steve Gold got his real estate license after completing an online course in 2007. [38] [36]
Steve Gold quickly built a large client base from his past work in the New York City fashion industry.
His clients include fashion industry icons, including designers Riccardo Tisci and Brian Atwood, as well as photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, among others. [38]
In 2011, Gold represented the buyer of a $5 million townhouse at 54 King Street in Soho, his first multi-million dollar deal.
In 2012, he shifted his focus to becoming a listing agent and secured his first exclusive luxury listing at 300 West 14th Street, a property he quickly sold.
In June 2014, he sold Anne Hathaway’s Manhattan apartment for $4.25 million. And when Olivier Sarkozy, half-brother to the former French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, (and boyfriend to Mary-Kate Olsen), needed to unload his East village row house, he went with Gold, who made a deal for $6.4 million. In 2017, Steve Gold had over $185 million in closed sales from the 212 Fifth Avenue development in Madison Square Park, $45 million in closed sales for Circa Central Park, and over 70 completed single deals. At the start of 2018 he had over $100 million in listing inventory, including 160 Central Park South, the former apartment of David Bowie. [1]

In April 2018, Steve Gold and his team, The Gold Group, moved to the Corcoran Group after TOWN Residential had announced that they were closing their brokerage business.
In September 2019, Steve Gold returned to season 8 of Million Dollar Listing New York alongside fellow brokers Ryan Serhant, Fredrik Eklund, Luis D. Ortiz, and Tyler Whitman.
Charity Work
Steve Gold supports several charitable causes, including amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, FreeArts NYC, and The Brazil Foundation, among others. Gold has also been an advocate and spokesperson for the Nassau County SPCA. This is an issue close to Steve Golf's heart since he is an animal lover, and adopted his dog Pablo, from an animal shelter. [34]

As of December 2019, Steve has over 323,000 followers on his Instagram account stevexgold. He often shares photos of himself with his friends and family as well as photos realted to his work as a real estate agent. [37] He also has over 12,600 followers on his Twitter account STEVExGOLD. Gold mainly uses his Twitter account to share his Instagram posts.[37]
