Stephen Nava is a 21-year-old resident of Kingston, Massachusetts. ^[3]

Stephen Nava was born and raised in Kingston, Massachusetts and was a graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School. Nava had a passion for equestrian events and was an active member of the American Morgan Horse community. Furthermore, he was a gifted heavy equipment operator at Fred E. Nava and Son, a company Nava's father started but took the reins of after his father passed away. Stephen is remembered for being a dedicated individual who had a huge heart for others. ^[3]

On the morning of January 26th, Nava was operating a snowmobile across a pond in Pittsburg, New Hampshire when his vehicle hit the berm of a dam at one end and became airborne. Nava then touched down and his full face helmet fell off just before crashing into a tree. Authorities say that failure to adjust to the change in terrain was the primary factor leading to the fatal collision. ^[5]
