Stephanie Rose Bongiovi

Stephanie Rose Bongiovi

Stephanie Rose Bongiovi (born May 31, 1993) is the daughter of American singer-songwriter, record Producer, philanthropist, and actor Jon Bon Jovi and karate instructor and restaurant owner Dorothea Hurley.

Early Life

Stephanie was born on May 31, 1993.

She is the granddaughter of former marine and barber Jon Bon Jovi, Sr. and former 'Playboy' “bunny” and florist Carol Sharkey. Stephanie is the first-born child of her parents and has three younger brothers named Jesse Bongiovi (born on February 19, 1995), Romeo Jon Bongiovi (born on March 29, 2004), and Jacob Hurley Bongiovi (born on May 7, 2002).

Since Stephanie was their first child, Jon Bon initially struggled to take care of her since she was born.

Later, he revealed in an interview that he wished there was a manual for baby-girl care.

Hence, the best he could do to his daughter was to offer her a lot of kisses and hugs.

Jon Bon further added that since he had no sister, he had no idea how a girl was raised.

In May 2017, Stephanie graduated from The New School in Manhattan.

Her father shared the news through a "tweet."

Jon Bon wrote a song titled 'I Got the Girl' to show his unconditional love for Stephanie.

The track was included in his 2000 album 'Crush.' When she was 7, Stephanie joined her father on stage at one of his performances and danced to the song.

After over a decade, the duo relived the moment at Jon Bon’s band’s 'This House Is Not for Sale' tour in Las Vegas. The father–daughter duo finished the performance with a high five. Jon then kissed Stephanie multiple times on her cheeks.

Controversies

In November 2012, Stephanie was in her first year of college at Hamilton College when she had a near-death experience because of a drug overdose. She was found lying unconscious in her college dorm room. As soon as the news surfaced, a medical team came to her rescue and admitted Stephanie to a hospital. She was unresponsive for a while. Later, when she regained her consciousness, Stephanie called Jon.

It was later revealed that Stephanie had overdosed on heroin.

The police also found more drugs in her room.

Stephanie and one of her college mates, Ian S Grant, were arrested for possession ofmarijuana and criminal usage of drug paraphernalia.

However, they were released soon after and their charges were reduced according to New York State’s 'Good Samaritan' law. The incident shook Stephanie and her parents. Since then, she has stayed away from drugs.

Personal Life

Stephanie's parents, Jon Bon and Dorothea, were high-school sweethearts.

They both attended the ‘Sayreville War Memorial High School' in New Jersey, where their love blossomed.

In 1989, Stephanie's parents got married secretly while on a trip to Las Vegas.

The wedding was held at the ‘Graceland Wedding Chapel.’

Stephanie Rose Bongiovi is the daughter of American singer-songwriter, record producer, philanthropist, and actor John Francis Bongiovi Jr. and karate instructor and restaurant owner Dorothea Hurley.

Stephanie is the only daughter of her parents and has three younger brothers.

She shares a special bond with her father.

Popularly known as Jon Bon Jovi, Stephanie’s father once wrote a song for her and included it in one of his albums.

The singer performed the song with Stephanie on stage during one of his music tours in 2017.

Years back, a 7-year-old Stephanie had danced to the same song.

Her parents have always tried to keep her and her brothers away from unnecessary media attention.

Stephanie was in the news in 2012, but for all the wrong reasons.

She was arrested for possessing drugs and was found unconscious in her hostel room.

Stephanie was close to death as she had overdosed on heroin.
