Star Boxing Inc. is a boxing promotional company based out of White Plains, New York. It has been in business since 1992.[12]
CEO/Founder
It was founded by Joe DeGuardia. DeGuardia is also its president and CEO. Star Boxing has continued to work with and develop a number of world champion professional boxers. The list of past and present boxers promoted by Star Boxing include: former world Champion Antonio Tarver, two time World Champion and 2008 US Olympian Demetrius Andrade, former WBO Jr. welterweight Champion Chris Algieri, former IBF welterweight champion Joshua Clottey, former WBF heavyweight world champion Carlos Takam and former WBC International light heavyweight champ Joe Smith Jr.
In 2016, DeGuardia moved Star Boxing's offices to White Plains, New York. Its matchmaker is Ron Katz, who is a member of the Ring 8 and New York State Boxing Hall of Fame. Star Boxing worked in conjunction with Top Rank to promote Carlos Takam in 2020.

CEO Joe DeGuardia
Joe DeGuardia took over the management of the Morris Park Boxing Club from his father.
DeGuardia won the New York Golden Gloves in the welterweight division in 1988. He passed the bar exam, went to work in Bronx County District Attorney, and then he started his own private practice.[9]
DeGuardia transformed the business into one of the busiest boxing gyms in New York, while also using it as a base from which to launch his larger business as a top boxing entrepreneur.
In 2019, Star Boxing Inc. promoted Chris Algieri, Cletus Seldin, David Papot and Anthony Laureano. Tony Palmieri of Star Boxing is involved with issuing media credentials for the business.[14]
Tarver vs. Jones Trilogy
Star Boxing promoted the following three fights: Antonio Tarver vs. Roy Jones Jr., Roy Jones Jr. vs. Antonio Tarver II and Antonio Tarver vs. Roy Jones Jr. III. That trilogy was one of the most successful trilogies in boxing history, generating over 50 million in revenue. The shows have been broadcast domestically and internationally, on pay-per-view, HBO, Showtime (TV network), ESPN, HDNet, Telemundo and MSG, as well as on the internet, through collaborative efforts with GoFightLiveTV. This is also a proud member of the Boxing Promoters Association.

Star Boxing also promotes the series "New England Explosion."
It is their newest series with the debut on December 13, 2019.
The card was headlined by "Action" Anthony Laureano and Richie "Popeye" Rivera.
Another series that they have launched is The Slugfest at the Sun Series.
The first show was held on January 26, 2020, at the Mohegan Sun.
The recently added "Catskills Clash" offers a thrilling night of boxing from Resorts World Catskills. This marks the return of professional boxing to the famed Catskill Mountains region. One of the many boxing matches promoted by Star Boxing Inc. in 2019 was the WBC FecarBox and ABO Intercontinental fight between Danny Gonzales and Johnny Hernandez; their match was held on November 23, 2019, at the Paramount in Huntington, New York. Gonzalez won by decision.[10] Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing scheduled Rockin' Fights 39 at The Paramount in Huntington, New York on May 8, 2020. The card was cancelled due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
