Stacey Feeley is CEO and cofounder of Silikids. Stacey is a graduate of University of Colorado Boulder. She lives in Michigan, and hails originally from Paris, Texas, where she attended Paris High School. ^[0]She is married to animator Jim Feeley.

In June 2016, Stacey posted a photo on Facebook of her daughter standing on top of a toilet as part of an "active shooter" drill. The photo went viral. Her message - not squarely anti-gun, but seemingly exasperated by the absurd amount of violence following Omar Mateen's Pulse Orlando Shooting (2016)- resonated with a lot of moms. ^[-1]

Feeley wrote: “Politicians – take a look.

This is your child, your children, your grandchildren, your great-grandchildren and future generations to come.

They will live their lives and grow up in this world based on your decisions.

They are barely 3 and they will hide in bathroom stalls standing on top of toilet seats.

I do not know what will be harder for them?

Trying to remain quiet for an extended amount of time or trying to keep their balance without letting a foot slip below the stall door?”^[2]
