Sophia Kercher is a freelance writer for The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Salon & LA Weekly.

Sophia is a graduate of UC Santa Barbara (2007), where she majored in Literature & Global Peace and Security.

After graduation she became a contributor and editor for Metromix where she specialized in event listings for comedy, theater and nightlife. She wrote about up and coming artists, local arts and entertainment interests. Sophia was previously a Research Editor for the LA Times and Senior Editor of PASADENA MAGAZINE.

She focused her efforts in leading the editorial for PrimeMind, a journalism site that explores the human mind. She managed more than 50 freelance writers, two copy editors and an associate editor. She edited more than 7-12 feature-length stories a week and assisted in the art direction.
