Sopan Deb is covering Donald Trump for CBS News. Sopan is also a stand up comic, NBA junkie and pianist. [1] Sopan used to work for Al Jazeera. He is a graduate of Boston University. [5]

In March 2016, Sopan was violently detained at a Donald Trump rally in Chicago. He was charged with resisting arrest, although videos of the incident do not show him resisting. The officer who arrested him also put his boot on Sopan's neck. [4]

Just before being detained, Sopan tweeted: "I've never seen anything like what I'm witnessing in my life."
